Australia is in need of qualified migrants who can contribute to the country's economic growth. Skilled migrants bring a higher level of education, a better likelihood of obtaining work, and the ability to contribute more to the economy. Employee-sponsored migrants are more likely to achieve their objectives. Most persons wish to migrate to Australia as skilled workers, and they do so through the 技术移民计划。 The General Skilled Migration (GSM) Program allows you to apply for a visa. To be eligible for a visa under this program, you must meet the GSM category's basic  requirements, these include:

独立技术签证（189类）： You must first submit an Expression of Interest through SkillSelect. This can be done both inside and outside of Australia. Applications are only accepted by invitation; to be considered, you must:
