  For the 2021 Rankings, data on 415 communities across Canada was collected and compared based on specific categories that were considered to hold the most importance for an average individual. With a subsequent change in priorities and remote working coming into the mainstay in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, some categories were accordingly streamlined by 麦克莱恩. While recognizing the fact that different things are important to different people, 麦克莱恩 尽管如此，对普通人来说可能最重要的类别分配了更大的权重。
